How We Named Our Lil’ Pink Trailer
In 1954 after a fatal diagnosis, Mesannie “Jackass Annie” Wilkins of Minot, Maine packed up her beloved horse Tarzan and headed to California with her pup Depesche Toi in tow. She had never done a long trip on horseback and she had barely left Maine in her 63 years. Not without obstacles, she successfully crossed the states relying on the kindness of strangers for food and shelter along the way. She returned home and survived for another two decades. We found ourselves inspired by Annie’s story. She faced a challenge so massive with nothing but the desire for an experience and the faith that somehow she would figure it out along the way.
About Us
With our powers combined we have over 40 years experience in the world of food and beverage. We entered restaurant work as teenagers, and despite our best efforts, we have never left. You could say it is in our blood. In time, our paths crossed and our shared love of wine began our years of friendship and work relations.
We share a passion for far-flung wines, lesser known vermouths, under utilized cocktail ingredients, locally foraged garnishes, obscure spirits, local brews, alternative sources of acid, experimental bitters, and made-from-scratch everything.
